K is moving on to K1

As the final school term of the year comes to a close, we cannot help but be amazed at how fast he is growing. In his own words " I am going to K1 already you know......my class is upstairs!"

The little dynamo has grown so quickly, not in terms of build but in terms of his social, speech and mental capacity. Sometimes, it makes us wish that time could just slow down for the boys so that we can enjoy and savour that little bit of a milestone with them before they move on to the next.

Now....

  • he wants to be a fire-engine/truck driver instead of a robot (sometime last year?),

  • he wants to work hard and buy his dream car - must be orange in colour and the doors must open up and outwards like a pair of wings,

  • he will deliberate when asked if he would like to join us for when we do our errands or for grocery shopping trips and

  • he will inform us matter-of-factly in the evenings after school that he is "a bit busy" and has "lots of work" to do (i.e. paper-cuttings or origami for friends or someone in the family, scribblings, drawing etc)

He is able to engage in meaningful conversations with his peers and adults, although he tends to be a bit long-winded as he likes to repeat whatever he is saying. This little boy is still very active, playful and loud but tears easily. He seems to be going through an emotional roller-coaster recently as he will tear and get all upset over minute matters, be it with us or more often than not, with T the little terror and bully. We can't wait to hear what his teachers have to say about him next week.
