Bits & Pieces of K

You can be really sweet at times and you were in this mode recently....
  • Mummy - thank you for working and thank you for giving birth to me

  • Papa - thank you for working and buying toys and food for me

  • Aunty & Porpor - thank you for cooking nice food for me
And you completed your thank you speeches with "I love yous".We thought you could have picked this up from school and checked but apparently, it was not covered in the curriculum.

We think, there is this little girl from another class who is named after one of mummy's favourite spanish label has a thing going for you. She passed you a bag of birthday goodies last week (you said you were the ONLY one who got them in your class) and just a few days ago, she drew a portrait of herself and passed it to you on your way home. However, you replied with a nonchalant "No, thanks." Papa did not want to break the little girl's heart so the drawing was accepted on your behalf. See that little hand-drawn heart at the corner? On learning, you are making the same mistake in writing your chinese name but you are making progress with simple chinese characters. You are also learning to spell simple 3 letter words and its so cute to see you placing 2 little fingers conscientiously to create space when you write. Looks like the school is putting you through "more serious" learning to prep you for the big school. You do not have homework and enjoys the after-school hours mainly playing with your Beyblades, legos, jigsaw puzzles and T, watching TV programmes and cartoons, engaged in little activities like cutting, drawing and simple crafts, and reading occasionally. You are doing well in TWD and have received your yellow-tip. And in March, you will be moving on to the Kids class from the Tots class.

And yes, you have been asking us repeatedly about bats on a daily basis for the past 2 weeks - are there bats in Singapore, do they suck blood, what do they eat, are they awake.....and you do not want to be alone in any space or sleep alone at night.
