Reanne @ 11 months

We are now less than a month away from Reanne's first birthday! She has taken her first steps and unfortunately, we have missed out on those all important pictures and videos!

She started taking her first 2 and 3 steps just a few days after she turned 10 months and has been treading very carefully or perhaps, she just loves to crawl instead! She also called her Pa Pa for the first time on 12th Nov and made him a very very happy man. This means its 3-0 in Papa's favour as the boys also muttered Pa Pa first! In terms of records, Tristan and Sujiah had witnessed the babe taking a grand total of 15 steps on wednesday. Mummy and Papa are very disappointed as we did not get to see those initial few steps she took.

This little babe is so "tam jiak" and greedy and will make her way to anyone in the family whom she catches to be eating or holding on to anything that has a slight resemblance to food. She has been stealing bites here and there and has already ventured beyond baby food and porridge to biscuits, ice-cream, buttery crusted buns, tofu, watermelons, dragon fruit, grapes, cake and more!

At the rate she is eating, we are surprised that her weight is still hovering around 8.5kg. Her 6th (bottom right incisor) little tooth has surfaced too.

We are all enjoying her little antics and cheeky smiles everyday but are also aware at the same time that this little babe is going to be quite a feisty one when it comes to her temper and personality as we have seen her persistent and stubborn she can be when it comes to getting her way! She will hold on tight to her little possessions and forbidden objects and cry out loud once she knows that we are trying to remove them or hide them from her. She also has a mind of her own and will reject by turning away if she is offered something which is not of her liking.

Meanwhile, all the young and old in the household are so in love and taken with her that we are just going to let her off and cut her a lot of slack - for the time being only.
