Tris's first time and Kay's second attempt on 20th May 2016
Their school has been supporting the programme and the boys decided to make a bald statement this year to demonstrate their support for the cancer patients. We are so proud of them for doing this even though they have their reservations.
Tris told us the night before the event that he was afraid his classmates would laugh at him and keep touching his bald head. The little boy felt rather awkward after shaving and had wanted to wear a cap when he was going out but he overcame the awkwardness within a couple of days.
K fared better this time and was able to explain the cause he was supporting confidently when quizzed. We certainly hope that this meaningful event will garner more support overtime with greater awareness.
