But as the date drew nearer, we did harbour some regret as the amount of logistics we had to plan was not foreseen! Thank goodness we had time and help so everything turn out well and we dare say it was smooth-sailing :)

Bee & Balloons
Papa said Tristan looks extremely cute in his bumble bee outfit and he should wear this on his party and hence the cake's design shall follow....

BBQ & Bicycles
We feasted on the BBQ all-time favourites - chicken wings, sausages, sotong balls, satay, corn and salmon. The selection was further boosted by lontong, fried beehoon & noodles, sambal prawns, agar-agar & konniyaku jelly. Hopefully the "heatiness" was somewhat neutralised by the cut-fruits, drinks and of course, the blueberry-laced bee cake!
The cousins brought along 2 bicycles and we saw the folks (young and old) taking turns on them. And even Kayden's tricycle made an appearance as the grandparents brought it along with them (painstakingly), along with numerous food items.

Bintan - Not forgetting B for Bintan as godma finally made it all the way from Bintan at 10pm!
We hoped everyone had fun as we really did despite the logistic nightmare. We decided to leave the BBQ essentials in a box so that we can just bring that entire box along should we have another one in the future!

Tristan's Drumstick-Egg-MeeSua Happy Meal on his Birthday
20th October 2009
In keeping with tradition and custom, we also gave Tristan's his first taste of a drumstick meal (although it was more of a lick on the BIG drumstick) for his birthday lunch. From the looks of it, he seems to have enjoyed the Happy Meal!
