How you have grown....

Tristan

You have been amazing in your growth during the year- in weight, in height, in your physical appearance (8 little teeth & 2 little scars - one above the upper lip and one beside your left eye) and development. If you keep up the 3 meals a day and daily milk intake of 900ml to 1 litre (*wallet check -*), you will be surpassing Kayden's built in no time! Currently, both of you are sharing some clothes and are we not glad that you can do so (*wallet check+*) but no worries, for hygiene purposes, we will try to ensure underwear will not be shared ;p

You are now roving around the house like nobody's business, climbing onto chairs and tables and speeding up when you know someone is after you. You little dare-devil has caused us to suffer from numerous panic attacks and accidents and falls have been rather rampant. Hmmm....this is definitely one of the triggers for papa's first aid course in January 2010! You shout and scream and show no mercy when you are vying for attention and toys and this happens a lot when Kayden is around. In 2010, we certainly wish you can grasp the concept of "sharing" and "taking turns" sooner than later.

Complains and grievances aside, you have been a constant source of joy as you bestow us with your generous smiles, cheeky grins and hilarous looks - the"ugly/naughty face" look is a real classic of yours! Stay healthy in the new year and its time for you to make some sense in speech.

Kayden

This has been a tough year for you as you had to adjust and adapt in 2 different schools. We know you would love to stay home and be with us if you were given a choice but we have also seen how happy you are when you are in the company of your friends and teachers. Your development has picked up speed during the last 6 months as you are now able to recognise all the Letterland characters, sing better, count better and speak better mandarin (but can still be improved). Lately, you started colouring and are into abstract art (not exactly doodling as some of your masterpieces do have certain resemblence of the real objects).
And when it comes to play, you are now into Bakugan (the little balls that will transform into some wierd creatures when thrown or in contact with magneticfields), Ben 10, cars and still Transformers. You are into card games too and will flip and throw cards like a pro, modelled after the Yugiyo hero. We hope both of you will become great playmates in the future as this is hardly the situation now but we understand it will take time - be patient as your little brother will grow and mature and will not be that much of a nuisance in time to come.
Like everyone else, you do have your mood swings and it can be extremely frustrating when it happens in the morning as we prep you for school. You are extremely attached to Ms Sanae school and can get upset when you realise she has left for home in the late afternoon. Having a mind of your own is great but sometimes you do move into the negative spectrum of being stubborn.

You are still our big baby and we love it when you start telling your long-winded stories but will roll our eyes when you start repeating like a broken recorder and at times, you do surprise us by your vocabulary and grammar.
"question & statement followed by confirmation- u know?"
".... look here mummy.... look at me papa"
"Didi I am so angry! You are so naughty! Look at me, dont look at the toy!"
Use of words - luckily/otherwise/expensive/overseas
We love you boys and we look forward to each day because of you!
