The Thomas balloon and cake made his day! Being the fussy eater, T did not participate in our little family feast but we were glad he tasted the cake- half a slice too. K loved the royal chocolate cake so much that he requested to have the same for his next birthday.
This the third birthday cake we have eaten since we shifted and probably the last one in this household for 2010. The second half of the year has been a high-caloried one for us as we have been feasting on birthday cakes every month in this order:
Aunty Sujiah-> Kayden->Mummy-> Papa-> Tristan

Papa made it back in time for the celebration with lots of yummy goodies (and plastic goodies for himself) for everyone . But, we have not been able to enjoy them as the whole family has been sick after the celebration. The flu bug has been residing in the household for about a month and just last sunday, both boys came down with the dreaded 4-letter virus - HFMD.
K has been manageable and did not lose his appetite as he only had an ulcer on his tongue. However, it has been an extremely trying week dealing with a cranky T who has been fasting since Sunday. Poor boy had at least 5 ulcers in his tongue and mouth, complete with beestung lips and puffy cheeks. He was drooling non-stop for a few days as even swallowing his saliva would cause him to cry. He started eating today - bread for breakfast (a breakthrough as he has been refusing bread all along), drank his milk and ate his porridge. We are just so very relieved and happy.
