We had a "classroom-liked" setting where we all sat down and got our hands dirty doing sand-art, foam-art or cardboard car assembling, kindly organised by Aunty Shirley. It was great as it was drizzling that day and the pool and playground were out of bounds. K did really well and completed his sand-art but was distracted by the beyblades when he moved on to foam-art. As T could hardly sit at the table, mummy had to complete the artwork on his behalf eventually.Next up was the balloon station which papa was mending. Papa outdid himself and went beyond his usual sword and gun! The praises from the adults and the enthusiasm from the kiddos spurred him and he created tulips, flower stalks and little floral wristlets for the little girls. After the hours of balloon sculpting, he is now better or affectionately known as the "Balloon Uncle" =p
No gathering is complete without glorious food. There are no pictures to prove our point as our hungry tummies had ruled our heads as we went on to fill them with pizzas, curry, beehoon, breads, cakes, pastries and finger food. On this special day, we were blessed to be able to get-together with this group of warm and fun-loving big and little friends. The boys are still enjoying their opened and unopened presents and enjoying the festive spirit!
