Educational tour at Gardens by the Bay

We signed ourselves up when the friendly people within our community organised a subsidised trip to the newly-opened Gardens. Mummy had doubts initially as the "super trees" were still looking rather naked from afar and the recent hot and hazy days could possibly lead to an uncomfortable excursion for all. But, it all went well last Saturday and the experience was both enjoyable and educational.

We spent about 3 hours walking around the Gardens and the boys enjoyed the cooling, wet and misty Cloud Forest "trek" as new discoveries about the rainforests were made along the way. The Flower Dome was pretty and spacious and they spent time chasing each other, picking up fallen petals and browsing the floral and fauna exhibits from around the world.

Lunch was great and we literally finished every single morsel of food. It was pricey but thoroughly delicious and not entirely unreasonable for an occasional  treat.
