Talking to T

T can be really quiet and withdrawn if he is in one of his moods and without any cajoling from others. During many car rides, it could just be K doing most or all of the talking while he just smile/ laugh or stare at the passing cars and scenes. He is not forthcoming in sharing what happened at school generally unless we pressed on and probe further. Sometimes, he will choose to evade questions and remain silent until the ultimatum is issued or will only react to the dangling carrot. But, there have also been occasions where he will be talking animatedly or reasoning intently with us or K. 

Papa: Who is a gd boy? 

T: I dont know... Maybe me! I eat fast, i never cry, i sit properly so i can do 5 lego figures!

Mummy: What did you see at the Chinese Garden?

T: Grass...(probes), trees..(more probing), flower (probe about lanterns)... dragon ! 

(He ran away before more questioning took place.)

Mummy: Who is your best friend?
T: Let me check!
Mummy: Why do you need to check?
T: Hmmm...Ethan (Y) and Wei Heng not my best friends...Isabelle is my best friend!

T & K can be so different and yet so adorable in their own ways. We are counting down to T's 4th birthday and he understands that October is his birthday month but is totally confused about the date as he was asking on separate occasions if "Is today my birthday?"

The goodie bags have just been packed and an order for a yummy chocolatey (his fav) cake to be shared with his school pals will be placed soon!
