Kayden finally had his first show and tell practice in class on Thursday. He had the jitters and forgot to "show" his favourite animal, i.e. the lion, after carrying it back and forth to school for more than 1 week. He managed to recite his entire speech but was "too soft". Earlier on wednesday, his classmates had their turns and he came home telling us that all of them were so soft he could hardly hear and one of the girls even cried.
It is harder than it seems for these kids as K said "I was nervous as there were 30 persons looking at me ." Stage fright is very real and even though all of us at home, including the many toy animals and dinosaurs that have been placed in front of him have been his audience, it is still a different experience when it comes to the actual presentation. Tristan has heard it quite a number of times and he was so adorable when he started reciting part of gorgor's script out of nowhere.
Next up would be the actual show and tell and he has just completed his script on "My favourite food". Nothing contentious here as he already know what he should be talking about as he could eat this on a daily basis and never be sick of it! Hope he could be as loud as he usually is when it comes to the actual delivery.
