The boys dabbled with canvas and acrylic and had their first experience painting with an easel at the art jamming session which 姑姑signed them up on 13th July at the Art Space. The session started with a short but enjoyable children's recital where talented kids played the piano, violin and flute before the area for cleared for the art jam.
The children got a little excited when the easels were being set up and the canvases were placed in front of them. It was a totally new experience for the boys as they have not attended any art lessons but just like a lot of kids, they do love to doodle and draw their favourite characters, superheroes, animals, bugs and dinosaurs to express their creative side at times. While K decided to draw a picture of his study room which included his violin, T chose to draw a flying white dragon around our neighbourhood!
The 3 adults enjoyed the relaxing 2 hours session, watching the boys draw and paint and "supported" them by fetching water, tissue paper and paint, and of course, by showering them with words of encouragement. When they were done, they moved on to the craft corner and had fun with clay and paint and actually wanted to stay on longer even after they were done with their K's lion and T's egg (errr Humpty maybe).
