Learning to blade

Kayden completed his basic and intermediate courses two weeks ago. He was rather disappointed during the first assessment as did not do well that day as he was distracted by his painful ankle. But, he did quite well during the second assessment and even manage to collect a little medal as a souvenir.

This boy received an early Christmas present when we got him his first set of roller-blades. We know that he is still hoping that there would be more to come as he was trying to convince us that it was too early for Christmas in November even though it was exactly 1 month away.

With regular practice, he is skating more confidently and the number of falls and accidents have reduced. The exercise will do him good as he has been eating so much lately such that a wardrobe revamp (including new sets of school uniform which are 2 sizes larger) seems necessary!
