K had practised 3 times a week in the evenings for 2 months for the national demonstration competition and for the hours they have put in and the fantastic display of teamwork, their team of 5 were rewarded on 29th December 2013. There was so much effort, coordination and support behind the scenes in order for this to happen. Besides this youngest group (P1 & P2), the older P3-P5 team and the teenagers won both Gold and Silver too!
18th December 2013 - Dinosaur Day
We visited the Science Centre for the Titans of the Past and Ice Age Mammals exhibition with Tristan's classmate (Reubun) and watched the Walking with Dinosaurs 3D movie that evening. Tristan has always been in love with dinosaurs and these 2 activities totally made his day.
There was plenty of sinful barbecue food when we ended the year. For Christmas, we pigged out with the family at Loyang and there was also a BBQ cum pool party at Butterworth for a change whereby the kids had fun though and the adults had to work hard and slave over the fire for our food. And finally on new year's eve, we had a bigger BBQ (again) cum pot luck party with mummy and papa's old friends whereby the kids had a blast with the Xbox and Kinect and the adults had a great feast (including durians), enjoyed a short game of mahjong and sang their hearts out.
