Boys @ Play - scoot, cycle, battle and climb!

All in the month of August.

After the arrival of papa's new toy (he has since bought another one!), we explored the nearby Bay East Gardens (part of the Gardens By The Bay) during one of the August weekends. The father and sons were happily zooming around on their respective wheels around the greenery and the boys even joined a group of children who were having loads of fun competing and scooting up and down an isolated pathway. There was no crowd like the popular east coast parkway and the gardens offered a great view of the city skyline over at the marina bay area.

We really love the long national day weekend whereby we could relax and chill at a comfortable pace such that we did not feel the rush and panic (at times) from a typical short weekend. The boys spent an afternoon at home playing with their toys (okay, it was an epic battle between robots and dinosaurs) and mummy just have to capture these precious moments whereby there was amicable play, no squabble nor a need to rush for any activity or event.

As a happy lower-primary pupil, Kayden gets to enjoy the days when the school closes for PSLE oral examinations. The enthusiastic papa decided to organise a rock-climbing event at the rock climbing school a few minutes walk from our place for class 2/5 (Tolerance). The response was overwhelming as 25 children, including siblings of his classmates, were in attendance. With mutual support and a certain element of peer pressure, all the kids did well and almost all of them managed to reach the top. The 2-hour session was well-spent and left the kids physically exhausted and their muscles aching the following day!
