When the Ongs hit the F1 circuit

Papa received a set of complimentary 3-day passes for the race and it was a good enough reason for all of us to take turns to accompany him as we have never been, unlike papa! We strategised, agreed on the roster and rolled out!

Mummy and baby went for the practice session as it was supposed to be the least crowded day and more importantly, the MayDay concert was held at 11:10pm that very night! Less than 5 pregnant ladies were spotted when they were there and mummy surprised papa by staying and standing up for the concert until 12:30am. All was great until she started feeling the strain when walking to the train station and she had bodyache when she woke up for work early the following morning.

K was there for the qualifying session and enjoyed himself thoroughly. He has been a fan of Alonso Fernando from the Ferrari team and was following the race on TV for the last few years. They wanted to stay behind for Robbie Williams but unfortunately, it started pouring while they were on their way to the Padang and ended up really wet despite their rain gear.

In fact, we still remember how he loved the cars and would make those vrooming sound effects when he saw pictures of the race cars as a toddler! He was too cute!  http://kaydentristan.blogspot.sg/2008/09/feeling-effects-of-f1-gp.html

T went for the finals with papa. He supports Red Bull and Ferrari and is less enthusiastic compared to K hence we doubt they could stay throughout the race. True enough, he requested to leave early when the race was less than half done.

We caved in to those rip-off snacks (fish n chips, pop-corn chicken and sausage buns for each of the boys) throughout the 3 days. It was a great experience at the track and papa felt that the organisers have outdone themselves compared to the first race he attended. Three cheers to free tickets!!!
