TWD Championship - Nestle KoKo Krunch 2015

14- 15 March 2015: Gold - Individual Poomsae (Age 7-9) and Gold - Individual Sparring (< 28kg)
Kayden was at this best during last weekend's competition. Although it was extremely tiring for us folks, especially papa who accompanied him throughout the weekend, who is usually the one sending and picking him up from training and the fan who cheered the loudest when K was out there doing his best, everything was worth it when we saw how elated he was with his results.

"Yes! I am going to Malaysia!" - The first thing this little sparring champ told us when he came back to the spectator stand.

We needed a strong heart when we were watching his sparring matches. During the quarter-finals, he was playing catch-up while the semi-finals saw him pitched against his opponent who was a head taller. He overcame his fear of sparring against a much taller opponent (unlike the last competition) and won with an impressive scoreboard of 17-6.

The club did well as a whole, coming in third overall and there are quite a few other gold medalists. These kids are moving on to the regional championship in Malaysia in a few months time, with hopes for a year supply of Koko Krunch should they ace the regional championship. For now, the 4 boxes of cereals that we have received are going to last us for a while.

We are so proud of you, son.
