And just like that, she is now officially a toddler who is walking steadily, experimenting with more flavours and the joys of eating if we were to indulge her, expressing her displeasure and unhappiness of being tugged, grabbed (hugged by her brothers who do not exercise TLC), snatched of her object of the moment (usually by her impatient brothers) and getting to know the big big world out there.
Reanne started walking about a week after she turned 11 months old and had 3.5 weeks of practice before her birthday and was able to stoop down and get up on her own easily before she turned one. She has reached this major milestone earlier than her 2 brothers and looks extremely adorable going about by her tiny-self.
These days, she hardly crawls and would get back up on her feet quickly when she trips and falls. As she continues to explore her surroundings on her own 2 feet, accident rates are much higher now and the bumps and knocks she is receiving seem to be a daily affair!
We celebrated her birthday with family members and some friends and as it was so near Christmas, it doubled up as a year end gathering of sorts too. Our lil girl was merry and nice on her birthday and stayed happy and alert way past her afternoon nap time. She loved the balloon bouquet (thank goodness) mummy and papa indulged her with and walked around the room countless times with with the entire bouquet in tow. It was such a cute sight!
All of us enjoyed ourselves that day watching her antics, catching up with friends and family, feasting and the brothers had loads of fun with like-minded friends. We trust that you have had a great time too, baby girl. May you grow healthily and happily within the warmth and love of the family!
