The highly anticipated trip came and went but we are still reminiscing about those happy, hilarious, delicious and cool weathered moments.....

Lovely stay and experience @ CingJing 愛立家旅遊民宿

The 3 days 2 nights stay at the mountains were memorable as we huddled under heated blankets in the nights, trekked up and down the slopes in cold dark nights with a torchlight, made friends with that resident stray dog and listened to live music while slurping ice-cream.

Cable car ride to
Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village (九族文化村) - Always happy to lend my brother a shoulder

The boy who is afraid of heights was screaming, shrieking, tearing and hyperventilating at one point while we took the cable car ride during the Sun Moon Lake tour.

We finally visited the sheeps during our last day at the mountains and had fun feeding them, posing for pictures and exploring the fields to hunt for more of them! The boys loved going after them and did not even mind that there was so much poop (not stinky though) and these animals were even pooping while they took more pictures with them!

It was wet and rainy during the last 2 days of our stay in Taipei but we were undeterred and decided to brave the weather and make the trip to Jiufen and Shifen for the old streets, Shifen waterfall and to experience releasing the lanterns to conclude our trip.
Although the boys love to rest and chill in the hotel where they could watch TV and play games, they were a good sport when we urged them to follow us around during the entire trip. We did quite a lot of walking and eating, especially at the different night and day markets and had irregular meals where we snacked and indulged in sinful suppers.
Based on papa's Fitbit, we clocked an average of 10,000 steps a day during the trip during the day and exceeded 13,000 on the day when we were on the Sun Moon Lake and
Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village tour.
We had a lot of fun but all of us missed the little babe dearly and she was never forgotten. With technology and connectivity, we were able to catch her in action via our handphones and hear her mumblings even though we were miles away. Surprisingly, we did not experience any reluctance to head home towards the end of this holiday. In fact, we could not wait to get back home to hug and play with our little babe!
