Friends of the Zoo

We registered ourselves today! We woke up real early this morning to pack our sandwiches and barang, got dressed and was out of the door just slightly after 8am. This was Tristan's first trip to the Zoo and almost 2 years since the last visit with Kayden (http://kaydentristan.blogspot.com/2008/08/off-to-zoo-again.html).

The boys had a blast at the Rainforest Kidzworld. We were all stuck there for the longest time as they were having fun at the water play area, just as expected. As its childcare week for Kayden's school, we bumped into a sweet little schoolmate of his at the entrance of the Zoo and Kayden could not get her out of his mind! He was asking for her and keeping a constant lookout for her THROUGHOUT the trip.....the boy was not disappointed as they met up and did have lots of fun together at Kidzworld.

This was Tristan's first experience with the water slides but was he brave! He appeared hesistant about his surroundings initially and was squirmish when we brought him near the water jets and sprays. But, he warmed up quickly and took his first slide with a gleeful smile.

We got lucky with the weather as it was all cloudy and nice - just right for outdoor fun. We walked and explored a few trails, took the tram, got wet and visited a few animal enclosures but it felt more like a "wild wild wet" excursion. More trips to come as the boys enjoyed themselves tremendously.
