As I can now recognise and name quite a number of different animals and insects - dog, cat, rat, chicken, sheep, elephant, bear, cow, pig, monkey, spider, butterfly, giraffe, ladybird, ant, fish, tortise, etc, the folks feel that it is time to put me to the test by planning a trip to the Zoo!We decided to beat the heat by waking up bright and early for the trip and sure enough the air was cool and nice when we reached the Zoo at around 845am. Gong-gong joined us this time and told us that this was his second visit to the Zoo - since its official opening in 1973!

We began our slow walk around the gardens and stopped at the White Tigers enclosure where we caught sight of a swimming white tiger! And very soon after, another white tiger hopped in and joined his friend for a cool morning dip too. We took the opportunity to hold a mini breakfast pinic at the enclosure while watching them.
The tram took us to the polar bears enclosure (a must-see for every visit) and we were just in time for the 10am polar bear feeding. This has to be one of the most popular sights at the Zoo as the entire seating area was already filled up and the standing room left was limited but fortunately, we managed to secure a spot to enjoy the short feeding session. On our way there, we passed by one of the cafes and noticed it was extremely crowded as the diners were having a great time eating, getting up close and posing with the wildlife! Hmmm....we must definitely give this morning breakfast buffet a try the next time.As we were early for the new rainforest theme show at the amphitheatre, there was time for us to pose and model for papa. The humidity level rose as noon approached but we came well-equipped!

Feeling real hot & sweaty but always ready to pose for the camera!
