Papa's bright idea worked - a snip on the pacifier did it! Tristan was cranky last Wednesday and all the persistent cries and whines for the pacifier drove his dad into doing this and it only took about 3 days, with minimal fuss, to rid him of this bad sucking habit that has been close to 2 years.
He could tell the difference immediately - took it out of his mouth and examine it, seem to find nothing wrong and put it back again....in and out it went til he got frustrated and threw it on the floor. He has a few of these and he was clever enough to direct the helper to the steriliser for alternatives BUT they were not there as we were already prepared! Ha ha
He shakes his head now when we ask him if he wants his pacifier.
