Of dinosaurs and Legos

These are our hot favourites and have remained as flavours of the month for quite some time.

Papa is an official Lego-addict these days and he has showered his love for Lego on us too. We have cute little age-appropriate models to assemble and we participate in the joy of opening Papa's various parcels that FLOWs through the mail. And for K's 5th birthday, he got to choose the Lego-product he wanted from Papa's in-house catalogue. We were skeptical with his choice initially as he is younger than the minimum age of 8 for Creationary but it turned out to be great fun for all - building, guessing, comparing and laughing at each other's creations!
If we do visit the malls on weekends, a significant amount of time is spent in the speciality shops. Most of the time, we are glued to the little TV screens while Papa continues his "research" and chats with liked-minded folks. And because we are occupied at the shops, mummy gets to roam around too.
T joined in recently and has graduated from simple "tower-building" to creating simple pieces all by himself.

"Papa, can I have YOUR stegosaurus?"
"My airplane, boat and house. And my favourite dinosaurs - Papa dinosaur, triceratop and stegosaurus!"

Currently, we have 2 resident dinosaurs [T-rex K versus Triceratops T] who are frequently at odds with each other. Besides the noisy pretend play that involves lots of roaring and crawling around, the dinosaur books have to be told repeatedly almost on a daily basis, and the recorded dinosaur documentary ranks as one of their favourite shows too. T seems to think that his best friend is the triceratop and even has to sleep with it and/or the books too!
