KL trip and Nestle KoKo Krunch Championship 2015

The regional championship experience

The boys had an early start to the June holidays as there was no school and PTM for them last friday. We took the morning coach to KL but was stuck on it for a very long 7 hours as traffic was slow and the driver had to stop in JB for tire change. We put up at The Gardens Hotel at the Mid Valley to be near to the centralised meeting place and was spoilt rotten for 3 nights. Now we know why our boys always love going back and lazing in hotels during holidays!

The club had 5 representatives and we, kids and parents alike, enjoyed the camaraderie as the kids took on the representatives from the different states in Malaysia. Singapore had a rather small contingent and it was great to see the kids from 3 clubs training together instead of their usual face offs during competitions held in Singapore. It was an eye-opener for a lot of us as the rules of the competition were different and it was challenging as the competition was not held in home grounds.

K was the first to go onto the arena and we knew he tried his best even though he lost. The boy was upset, disappointed and aggrieved but we hope he will continue to work hard for his next competition. Some of the kids did really well and came home with gold!

On our way - Wefies at the hotel lounge - Delicious dinner at Restoran Siu Siu Sungai Besi- Heading home
We met our cousins twice this time during our 4 days 3 nights stay and had a good time catching up. There was ample time for us to explore the surrounding Mid Valley malls and we feasted and did some shopping as ringgit was really low at 2.7! We missed baby R so much and could not wait to see her and thankfully, the ride home took us lesser time (5 hours)!
