An evening at East Coast Park

Although the park is just a short drive from home, we do not visit it as often as we should as it is extremely crowded during the weekends when friends, families, cyclists, skaters, diners, doggies and their owners all fall in to be closer to the sand and the sea. The weather was good today with ample sunshine and since we did not make any prior plans, we decided to bring the active little one down to the park for some outdoor fun.

First stop ==> Down to the lagoon's Cable Ski Park to catch the skiers and wakeboarders in action! Papa wanted to show us what this was all about as he chanced upon this acitivity recently when he was dining nearby. We had much fun watching the skiers (amateurs and professionals alike) in action as we sat ourselves on the bench.

Mummy asked Kayden: Would you like to try this and have fun like them?
Kayden's reply: No (shook his head and patted his chest at the same time)
Mummy: Why are you scared? Will you do it if papa carry you on his back like a tortise?
Kayden: nods his head in reply

Second stop==> To the bicycle kiosk to rent a bike. Kayden seemed rather enthusiastic about it so papa went ahead and rented a bike with an attached child seat....all ready for a "buttock-bruising" hour of fun with his little boy.

During the initial stage of the ride, Kayden was rather obsessed with the bicycle bell and his fingers did not stop working on it. He did stop after a while, thankfully, but started to fidget and move his legs around, obstructing papa's peddling. Both of them had a great time and we will definitely do this again!

Third stop==> Sand-castle building by the beach! We knew that Kayden was not too enthusiastic about playing with sand from his first encounter couple of weeks ago but decided to let him have another go at it again. And he did enjoy it this time round as he took off his shoes, waddle in the sand and started scooping and scooping....muttering "rice" at the same time! Its SAND my dear, not rice!
Last stop==>
To the nearby hawker centre for dinner to fill all our hungry stomachs :)
