We have been trying to plan for a short family trip for quite a while, toying with a few ideas such as driving up to KL/Genting/Malacca, an even shorter drive to JB or a boat ride & short stay at one of the Bintan/Batam resorts. And the final decision was....a 2D 1N stay at Sentosa isle and specifically the Siloso Beach Resort (http://silosobeachresort.com/home.asp) for the 3 of us, sans little Tristan as we know he would be happier to stay within the comforts of home.
DAY 1
Papa chose the romantic Roof Garden Suites to experience the direct access to a roof top garden and the outdoor jacuzzi but all the romantic feel and atmosphere of the suite dissipated upon entrance as I (Kayden) was busy exploring and shouting at the same time. The room was sufficiently spacious for the 3 of us and had a beautiful four-poster bed complete with white canopy. We walked up the staircase and took the view in with a WOW! There it was - our very own roof top garden & jacuzzi!

Taking the beach tram and enjoying the ride
We head out for lunch at Rasa Sentosa's Silver Shell Cafe and then proceeded to the Underwater World. I was shocked to see so many BIG fishes and it was quite a scary sight as I am one of those kids who do not really fancy fish as food. Papa pointed to a cuttlefish exhibit and asked if mummy would like to have it as her dried cuttlefish snack but I said " Mummy dont eat! Scary! 怕怕!"
After my power nap, papa and I went for the fun and exciting luge cum skyride. I almost could not make it for the ride (children to be > 85cm to ride with an adult)! Next, we made a mad dash for the Pink Dolphin Lagoon show at 530pm. There were so many things to do and so little time! To end the night, we went for the Songs of the Sea musical by the beach (the old musical fountain that was around for the longest time is making way for the IR) and I was quite worn out after that.

DAY 2
We had planned for an early breakfast so that we could go the beach for sandcastle-building, a dip in the resort pool and a final soak in the jacuzzi before check-out but we were too tired and only woke up at 9am. Hence, we forgo the swim and stuck to only 2 activities. We enjoyed ourselves though it was a short holiday away from home (but near enough for papa to drive all the way back on Day 1 evening to pick up something mummy has forgotten to bring!) And...its a great way to boost our economy as well *ooouch*
